About Chickadees
These nimble, acrobatic birds have a big personality in their small size. Chickadees are “clinging” birds meaning they do not require a feeder with perches to feed-they can simply “cling” to the sides of a mesh-style feeder. If given the option, chickadees will take peanut pickouts over any other type of food. They will also eat black oil sunflower, sunflower hearts, safflower, nyjer, and suet. Chickadees are also cavity nesting birds and will nest inside bird houses where they will raise 1 brood per year.
