DESCRIPTION:The Bird House Photo Contest is On! \n\nSubmissions will be accepted starting Monday\, August 10th through Sunday\, September 20th..\nCustomers choice voting starts Monday\, September 21st and ends Sunday\, September 27th.\nWinners will be announce on Tuesday\, September 29th.\n\nCategories: \n\nBirds\nWildlife (other than birds)\nScenery\nPet\n\nIf your photo would fit in more than one of these categories\, photographer must pick one\n\n\n\n\nYouth \n\nPhotos taken by youth ages 16 and under\, in any of the first four categories\n\n\n\n\nBird House Elite\n\nThis category is designed especially for previous winners and those with a competitive drive.  Go head to head with the best!  This category is for anyone who has won via professional judging in The Bird House photography contest in the past five years\, (youth is excluded) or who wants to compete with previous winners\n\n\n\n\nLegends Listeners\n\nWe Have teamed up with Legends 102.7 for this special listeners category. Fans of the Legends 102.7 can go toe-to-toe in this category.\n\n\n\n  \nJudging: \n\nA group of professional photographers will choose prize winner(s) in each category\nCustomers will vote on a Customers’ Choice prize in each category as well by paper ballot\nCustomers who vote will automatically be entered in a random drawing to win a $25 Bird House gift certificate\nAll winners will be announced September 29th\, 2026\n\nPrizes in each Category: \n\n1st Place – $100 Gift certificates to the Bird House\n2nd Place – $50 Gift certificates to the Bird House\n1st Place Customers’ Choice – $100 Gift certificates to the Bird House\n2nd Place Customers’ Choice – $50 Gift certificates to the Bird House\nHonorable Mention – Bird House coupon\n\nContest Rules: \n\nNo entrance fee\nAmateur photographers only\nTwo submissions per person\nPhotos must have been taken in the wild\, in the US\nPhotos must not have been previously published or sold\nPhotos must be 8” x 10”\, horizontal or vertical\, no mats or borders\nPhotos must be dropped off at The Bird House during business hours or mailed in to: 3035 Monroe Ave\, Rochester\, NY 14618\nPhotos not picked up from The Bird House by November 30\, 2026 will be discarded\, unless prior arrangements are made for return by another method\nBy entering\, photographers give to The Bird House the non-exclusive right after the contest ends to use their photos in the store and on our website and in printed materials\, with attribution but without compensation.
