About Bluebirds
Bluebirds are most common in open habitats such as meadows, fields, and grasslands. Adding a Bluebird house to this type of landscape is the best way to keep Bluebirds in the yard. Like most other birds, bluebirds prefer a nesting box that is stationery and is mounted on a pole or another secure structure. Bluebirds eat a wide variety of insects providing mealworms is ideal for bringing them to a feeder. Live mealworms seem to be their preferred food but freeze dried mealworms are also available on their own or in seed and suet cakes.
