2013 Events:
May 18th: Bird Walk at High Acres. Join us for a guided nature hike of High Acres Nature Area in Perinton. We will walk the trails to see what birds and wildlife we can find. Expected birds include catbirds, warblers, swallows, herons, and waterfowl. A scope will be provided to give an up-close view of what we find.
This walk will meet regardless of weather conditions. Please dress appropriately. Meet at 9am in the parking lot located on 31F across from Wakeman Rd. Location of the lot is: 1202 Macedon Center Rd, Fairport, NY.
June 1st: Early Bird Walk at Tinker Nature Park. The early bird catches the worm! Explore the trails of Tinker Nature Park.
June 8th: Canal Bird Walk. Enjoy a relaxing walk down the canal as we look for common birds.
June 15th: Birds of Prey from Wild Wings visit the store from 10am-1pm.
July 20th: Butterfly Walk at Sherwood Fields Park.
August 10th: Kid’s Day. Kids can make a bird feeder or bird house absolutely free! 10am-3pm.
September 1st: Photography contest begins. Contest submissions will be accepted through
October 6th. More details to be announced.
September 21st: Tube Feeder Cleaning Day. Have your feeder cleaned for free by our expert staff. 10am-3pm.
October 12th: Cooking for the Birds. Learn fun recipes for snacks birds will love! Supplies will be provided to make your own! 10am-2pm.
October 19th: Birds of Prey from Wild Wings visit the store from 10am-1pm.
November 30th: Nikon Representative Bill Stopinski in the shop to help you pick out the perfect pair of binoculars or scope. 10am-2pm.
